JewelryElegant began in 1962, when goldsmith Andreas Lekkas — recently arrived in Athens from Ioannina, where he had trained under his father in the Epirot silver tradition — opened a single workshop bench above the barber's shop at 14 Voukourestiou Street. He built the business one wedding band at a time, often working through the night to deliver a ring before the morning ceremony. His son Pavlos joined the bench in 1981 after studying gemmology in Antwerp, and together they expanded the workshop into a proper street-level atelier in 1989, the year the family bought the building. Pavlos's daughter, Ariadne Lekka, grew up sitting on a stool watching her grandfather solder. She studied jewellery design at Central Saint Martins in London, spent six years at a Place Vendôme house in Par
